Inspirational Photographers and Websites

The list is endless but here are just a few websites that I have found both inspirational and informative.
Still low on the never ending learning curve I find that so much can by learnt simply by looking at the work of other photographers.

Karl Williams Outstanding High Dynamic Range Imaging with additional links to many more highly accomplished photographers.

Pascal Bobillon Mon ami Pascal! A highly talented avant-garde French photographer not afraid to experiment with techinque and styles! Website has featured guests and links to other remarkable photographers.

Steve Carter Reknowned music composer and photographer. An excellent and favourite website full of interest, humour and great images.

Joe Cornish The inspirational 'godfather' of British landscape photography!

Richard Childs  Exceptionally high-quality images produced in the main using an Ebony SU45 Field Camera - a true purist's approach resulting in unique photographs that are deep in mood and rich in atmosphere. One of Scotland's best photographers.

Colin Prior The master of the panoramic image - Colin Prior is one of Britain's most respected photographers, world reknowned for his unmistakable style and wealth of experience.

David Ward One of the Uk's most reknowned landscape photographers.

Charlie Waite A landscpape photographer with a worldwide reputation. Often working with Joe Cornish, David Ward and many other highly acclaimed photographers through Light and Land

Tim Wilcock A fellow Skye based photographer. Tim's images have a special quaility that simply exude light and atmosphere. Stay at Tim & Grace's excellent B&B (See 'Grasmhor' below) and be rewarded not only by their hospitality but also a display of Tim's stunning images. Tim also provides instructional workshops and location guiding - very highly recommended.

Jerome Guastalla I came across Jerome on Facebook and was totally impressed by his long exposure images.

Enrico Lasio  Enrico is a very talented and passionate Italian photographer I met though Facebook. In his own words "my relationship with photography is amateur, not only because photography is a hobby, but for all the implications that the term "amateur" requires: passion, frustration, pleasure, disappointment, research, criticism and satisfation"

Arnaud Millot Wonderful panoramic landscapes, mostly from Upper Rouergue and Aubrac region of France which have a unique charm and authenticity of their own.

Stationary Travels Not a photography page but a fantastic music blog by Brian Housman featuring some of my images.

Jean-Michel Priaux  Amazing digital creations - based on original photography but with a surreal treatment producing fascinating and intriguing images.

Martin Pulling I first met Martin in my gallery during our first year of opening. A Welshman with a great sense of humour Martin works in many genres specialising  wildlife and landscape. A fellow 'Zenfoliac' his website is well worth a visit.

Garry Brannigan Inspirational images and a wonderful photographic ethic.

Travel

Getting to the Isle of Skye is easy - we even have a bridge! If travelling from the north of England here are a couple of travel agents who will make it even easier by arranging your flight to Glasgow, Aberdeen, Edinburgh or Inverness.

The train is another option, the West Coast Line is an exceptionally scenic journey and line from Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh is a delightful train ride through some of Scotland's most breath taking scenery.

And then there is car hire - with limited public transport on the island the only way to really explore Skye is by car.
